The American College of Clinical Pharmacology, or ACCP, elected as regent, Oliver Grundmann, Ph.D., a clinical associate professor in the department of medicinal chemistry. Slated to begin his five-year term in February 2020, Grundmann will help set policy and annual or longer-term goals and objectives for the organization.
This regency election marks Grundmann’s third major recognition from ACCP. He was appointed fellow of the organization in 2018 and received an Excellence in Achievement award for student, trainee and early-stage professional leadership in 2017. Stephan Schmidt, Ph.D., an associate professor in the department of pharmaceutics, currently serves on ACCP’s board of regents. Along with Grundmann’s participation starting in 2020, there will be two University of Florida College of Pharmacy faculty serving together until Schmidt’s term ends in 2023.
