This presentation will review results from preclinical ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke models, and address the potential mechanisms of neuroprotection from various families of natural extracts and compounds. The Doré Lab uses rigorous stroke, traumatic brain injury and Alzheimer models to test various hypotheses looking at anatomical and functional outcomes following acute brain injuries. The goal is to identify key molecules and pathways that can then be tested in the clinic to improve outcomes of our patients.
