Christopher McCurdy, Ph.D., R.Ph., FAAPS, a professor of medicinal chemistry and the Frank A. Duckworth Eminent Scholar Chair in the University of Florida College of Pharmacy, has been named an associate editor for the American Chemical Society Pharmacology & Translational Science journal. The appointment begins Oct. 1, 2025.

ACS Pharmacology & Translational Science reports on advances in molecular and biological science, from basic and preclinical studies to clinical trials. The journal was established in 2018 and gives priority to studies that fully integrate basic pharmacological and/or biochemical findings into physiological processes that have translational potential in a broad range of biomedical disciplines.
McCurdy has served as an editorial advisory board member for ACS Pharmacology & Translational Science since 2020. It’s one of nearly two dozen editorial appointments he has held in his career.
