Dr. Li is currently a Professor at UTHSC, Director of UTCoP Drug Discovery Center, and the Faculty Director of the Shared Analytical Instruments at UTHSC. He is also the Founder and CSO of SEAK Therapeutics LLC. Dr. Li obtained his BS degree from the University of Science and Technology of China and his PhD degree from Columbia University in 1999, both in chemistry. His research focus is small molecule drug discovery. He has published over 150 peer-reviewed papers, three book chapters, and 9 issued US patents. Dr. Li has been a grant reviewer for US government, state, and foreign funding agencies. He is also a frequent reviewer for journal articles and is an editorial board member for several journals.
